Ting Kuo Daniel Chen is the founder and Managing Partner of TKC. He specializes in U.S. domestic and offshore investment planning strategies for Pacific Rim clients, with an emphasis on mainland China and Taiwan. His experience includes tax-efficient portfolio construction, and he frequently consults with his clients on investment opportunities, succession planning and the financial aspects of various immigration matters. He has been working with clients on their investment strategies for wealth management for over twenty-seven years in both banking and wealth management.
Mr. Chen began his banking career in Taipei with what was then Chase Manhattan Bank in 1984. After moving to Dallas in1988, he worked with Richardson National Bank and Comerica Bank between 1988 and 2000. He then returned to work with J.P Morgan Chase in Dallas until he co-founded Civitas Wealth Management, LLC and became the founder and managing partner of TKC.
In 2011, he left J.P. Morgan Chase to co-found Civitas Wealth Management, LLC with Civitas Capital Management, LLC. After 4 years rapid development of business, Mr. Chen successfully acquired one hundred percent of Civitas Wealth Management and changed the name to TKC Wealth Management, LLC.
Mr. Chen holds a Master of Managerial Administrative Science from the University of Texas at Dallas and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Taiwan Fu-Jen University. In 1989 he became a Certified Public Accountant, and has been a Certified Financial Planner since 1993. Mr. Chen holds security licenses, FINRA Series 7, 63, and also Series 65 which is Uniform Investment Adviser. He also holds Insurance License covering fixed and variable life products.
